An amalgam of Psych, Country, Blues and plain old Rock n' Roll, Shiva's Headband dish up a heady brew of great songs with fantasticly evocative lead lines courtesy Perskin's electric violin playing. The vibe of the album is very much concerned with getting out of the city (man) and chilling out in the country, the title track making this explicit/5(5).

A nice copy of a rare rock/psych/country LP. Background: Released in , Coming to a Head was the second LP by Austin, Texas-based Shiva’s Headband. Their first LP, Take Me to the Mountains, had been released nationally by Capitol, but sold poorly. Their second LP was privately pressed on a small Austin label, Armadillo Records.
