The title of this CD, Pachelbel - Greatest Hits, is a misnomer. First, less than a third of the selections are by Johann Pachelbel, the German organist and composer of about a generation-and-a-half before J.S. Bach, whose Canon for strings and continuo was a mega runaway hit when it was reintroduced to the world in the early s in the recording made by the Paillard 4/5(12).

I thouroughly enjoy this CD! The music is beautiful enough to listen to all by itself, but also quiet and peaceful enough to listen to while studying for exams or doing homework. Mad about Baroque has been in my discman for many weeks and accompanied to the library many times. This is a great CD!/5(11).
