Professor Kimberly Marshall demonstrates with this recording why she is one of the world's finest interpreters of J.S. Bach's organ music. Professor Marshall's playing is tremendously vibrant throughout the disc, with registration and performance nuances showing how sensitive she is to historical performance practice/5(2).

Vintage Report On the hills of the Castiglioni estate, the vines began to sprout new shoots in early April following a dry and relatively mild winter. March and April saw a few showers which added to the water reserves needed for the young shoots to grow and develop. The flowering stage and subsequent summer season were characterised by a lack of rainfall and high temperatures .

    says:
Frescobaldi's compositions were central to keyboard study until well into the next century; Gasparini was among those commending them, and J. S. Bach copied out the Fiori musicali(), a publication of liturgical organ music. Revised versions of earlier toccatas and ensemble canzonas show him to be concerned with the final state of his work.

This 2-fer of Scott Ross' Goldberg Variations, plus selections from Frescobaldi's & publications could hardly be better. The clarity of the lines in the Goldbergs alone is worth the price. The Frescobaldi selections are fresh and pleasing. As always, Mr. Ross plays in a lively, incisive, yet unaffected manner/5(3).
